چکیده
Hydrogen spillover and storage for single-site metal catalysts, including single-atom catalysts (SACs) single nanocluster have been elucidated various supports but remain poorly understood inert carbon supports. Here, we use synchrotron radiation-based methods to investigate the role of Ti on graphene hydrogen storage. Our in-situ angle-resolved photoemission spectra results demonstrate a bandgap opening X-ray absorption reveal formation C-H bonds, both indicating partial hydrogenation. With increasing deposition H2 exposure, atoms tend aggregate form yield 13.5% sp3-hybridized corresponding hydrogen-storage capacity 1.11 wt% (excluding weight nanoclusters [1]). how simple process at SACs can lead covalent bonding graphene, thereby providing strategy rational design carbon-supported catalysts.

Site-dependent activity of atomic Ti catalysts in Al-based hydrogen storage materials.
Doping catalytically inactive materials with dispersed atoms of an active species is a promising route toward realizing ultradilute binary catalyst systems. Here we analyze the role of atomic Ti catalysts in the hydrogenation of Al-based hydrogen s...

Intellectually, the advantages that flow from the availability of single-site heterogeneous catalysts (SSHC) are many. They facilitate the determination of the kinetics and mechanism of catalytic turnover-both experimentally and computationally-and make accessible the energetics of various intermediates (including short-lived transition states). These facts in turn offer a rational strategic pr...

Hydrogen-based fuel cells are promising solutions for the efficient and clean delivery of electricity. Since hydrogen is an energy carrier, a key step for the development of a reliable hydrogen-based technology requires solving the issue of storage and transport of hydrogen. Several proposals based on the design of advanced materials such as metal hydrides and carbon structures have been made t...
متن کاملA First Principles study on Boron-doped Graphene decorated by Ni-Ti-Mg atoms for Enhanced Hydrogen Storage Performance
We proposed a new solid state material for hydrogen storage, which consists of a combination of both transition and alkaline earth metal atoms decorating a boron-doped graphene surface. Hydrogen adsorption and desorption on this material was investigated using density functional theory calculations. We find that the diffusion barriers for H atom migration and desorption energies are lower than ...
